  • About us
    The online application system is provided and operated by Leeds Beckett University (the 'University') whose address is The Rose Bowl, Civic Quarter, Leeds LS1 3HB, UK. If you have any queries about the online course finder or the online application system please contact directadmissions@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
  • Eligibility to use the online application system
    The online application system should only be used by applicants to part-time undergraduate courses, and full-time and part-time postgraduate courses (with the exception of Postgraduate Certificate of Education [PGCE] courses). Applicants for full-time undergraduate courses should contact the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) at www.ucas.com for information on how to apply. Applicants for PGCE courses should contact the Graduate Teacher Training Registry (GTTR) at www.gttr.ac.uk for information on how to apply.
  • Course Information
    Course content and availability may change from time to time and, although the University makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information presented in the online course finder is correct and up to date, the University does not represent or guarantee this to be the case and reserves the right to change the content and availability of courses at any time. If the course for which you have applied, using the online application system, has materially changed or is no longer available, the University will contact you to confirm how you wish to proceed.
  • Application
    Submitting an online application does not form a contract between you and the University and does not in any way mean that you are entitled to or will be offered a place on the course for which you have applied. The University is simply providing you with an easy way to submit your application. In making the online application system available to you, the University does not in any way represent or guarantee that you will be allocated a place on any course in respect of which you may submit an application.
  • Once the University has received your application via the online application system, it will consider and process your application in accordance with its normal admissions policy a copy of which is available on request from directadmissions@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
  • Please note that the University shall not be deemed to have received your online application until the University confirms to you by automated email that it has received your online application. If you have not received the automated email confirming receipt of your online application by the University within 10 working days of the date on which you submitted it, please contact directadmissions@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
  • You should check the details of your online application carefully before clicking the submit button, in particular in relation to the course name, the course code, and the year the course starts. Mistakes on your application may cause delays in processing it.
  • Declaration
    In submitting an application to the University via the online application system you are declaring that all the information you have provided via the online application system is true, complete, and accurate in all respects. In processing your application, (including any decision by the University to make an offer to you), the University will rely on the information which you submit to the University via the online application system being true, accurate and complete. After you have submitted your application, you will immediately notify the University if any information which you have submitted to the University ceases to be true, complete and accurate. If during the admission process or subsequent to registration, the University becomes aware that information you have provided via the online application is not true, complete, and accurate or contains any material omission, the University may terminate your application or student registration and contract, as applicable.
  • References
    You confirm that you have the consent of the referees included on your online application to use them as referees and that the University may contact them to obtain references about you.
  • Personal data
    The personal data you supply through the online application system will be used for the purpose of processing your application and, if you are offered a place at the University which you accept, will form part of your University student record. If you complete the optional disability and ethnicity questions the University uses this information for monitoring purposes and to assess the needs of and provide services to disabled students. In the case of non-UK citizens requiring entry clearance to study in the UK, the University will disclose your personal data to the UK Border Agency for the purposes of facilitating the entry clearance process and complying with the UK Border Agency's rules and directives. All personal data shall be kept confidential (except as set out above), is held and processed by the University in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. By submitting your personal data through the online application system you consent to us processing your personal data in this way.
